DIY Lace Nails

With lace being as popular as it is right now, both on the runway and in the bedroom, I concocted my very own super easy way to bring this popular trend to your fingertips. LITERALLY.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

-nail buffer
-emery board/nail file
-nude matte nailpolish (I used China Glaze in Cotton Candy)
-strong, clear topcoat (I used Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle)
-fabric scissors (to cut the lace)

-small cuticle scissors (to shape the lace around your nails)
-1ft. x 1ft. swatch of lace (any lightweight kind will do the trick)

STEPS:
1. Shape nails to desired length/size using nail file.
2. Buff nails with nail buffer to make a smooth surface.
3. Cut ten tiny squares of lace (about 1in. x 1in.)
4. Paint one nail with your nude nailpolish.
5. Carefully stick one of your lace squares to the nail.
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 for your other 9 nails (paint, stick, paint, stick, etc.)
7. Let your nails dry a bit.
8. Using your cuticle scissors, carefully trim the fabric away around your cuticles and nails.
9. Apply 2-3 clear topcoats to smooth out texture and prevent snagging.
10. Let dry.

END RESULT:
Hip, edgy nails! Go show off!
