After reading/seeing so much about the Sleek Cosmetics palettes online, I just had to see what all the fuss was about. The first four palettes never really appealed to me, with their muted tones and bizarre synergy of color combinations. Then along came Acid.
Anyone who knows me knows: I ♥ NEONS.
You could only imagine my delight when I saw that the U.K.-based makeup brand came out with a mostly fluorescent, partially metallic, and totally awesome collection for dorks like myself! Of course, Sleek is currently NOT available in the U.S.A...but online shopping is what the internet was invented for!

I hopped on eBay and found the palette rather easily, ordered it for about $15 USD including shipping from overseas, and 15 looong business days (about 22 days total) later, I HAD IT. And let me tell you, I am impressed.
I experimented with the palette once so far and wore a blended rainbow arrangement to school last week. Two girls asked me where the hell I got my eyeshadow, because the pigments never come out that strong for them! I smiled and explained, "It's this stuff from England..."
Most of the colors have a metallic finish to them...they look wet and shiny. The swatches I did don't do them justice...they are pretty opaque, very highly pigmented for a "drugstore" product, and REALLY stand out over a matte white eyeshadow base. And while they may look slightly flaky in the picture, please keep in mind that I took the pic in Macro mode, so the tiniest speck of dust looks much bigger than it should.
Enjoy the eye candy! ☺
